Evaluation of Electric Funds

The National Planning Department (DNP) has opened a merit-based contest to carry out an evaluation of the operation and results of the electric funds: FAZNI (Financial Support Fund for Non-Interconnected Zones), FAER (Financial Support Fund for Rural Interconnected Zones), and PRONE (Network Standardization Program). These funds are financial support mechanisms designed to ensure that all regions of the country, especially the most remote, have continuous and secure access to energy. This is a crucial strategy in the Colombian government’s duty to universalize the electric service.

The main objective of the evaluation is to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the management and execution of resources, ensuring that the funds optimally fulfill their purpose of expanding and enhancing the electric service nationwide.

eXpertiseplus, through Nancy Abdala and Paulina Llerena, works closely with the consulting firm selected in the merit contest, actively contributing to the ongoing evaluation. They bring their knowledge and experience in the electric sector, which ensures a thorough and detailed approach aimed at improving the management and effectiveness of these funds.

This step is essential towards optimizing the country’s efforts to ensure an equitable and sustainable electric service, and we are proud to contribute to this goal.
